Alhamdulillah....

Pagi nie nk citer pasal my en. somi pulak. Blog aku nie...asyik dok citer pasal ahkak & my doters ajer kan...tak aci kalo tak citer pasal my en. somi. Oraittt.....one of my en somi punya hobi adalah suka masuk peraduan...selain dari menulis blog pasal chess. Nak tgk blog my en somi...click sini.

Mmg dari dulu lagik....my en. somi suka masuk any contest kat dlm newspaper or kalo isi minyak kat Shell or Petronas...kalo ada peraduan...mmg dia masuk..... tak pun....kalo beli grocerries kat Giant or kat maner2.....kalo ada contest....mmg dia suka sgt isi borang peraduan tu. Alhamdulillah....hasil dari dia masuk contest tu....ada gak rezeki yg 'masyuk' utk kami sekeluarga...Amin. Alhamdulillah.

Last sunday, my en. somi menang 1st Prize winner utk contest Ice Age 3 yg di anjurkan oleh NST. Sonoknyer.....cz kali nie...selain dari dpt Ice Age 3 merchandice..dpt 4 tiket ke Sunway Lagooo....Alhamdulilllah.....then on the same day gak...masa my en. somi masuk Chess tournament kat UTP, Tronoh...dia dpt no. 4 so dptlah RM300 di bawa pulang. Syukran.....rezeki jugak tu kan.

Dlm minggu nie...en. somi ada menang utk hadiah consolation prize...anjuran Kosmo! for Eat Pray Love... contest .....so hari rabu lepas dpt bag limited edition 'Eat Pray Love' Foldable Tote Bag.....so yg nie...my en. somi kasik kat ahkak. Tenkiu.

Peh tu...my en. somi ada masuk peraduan Barbie The Mermaid.....dpt consolation prize gak....yg nie...konpem kalo dpt...hadiah tu milik Kakak. Hopefully....kakak tak berebutlah dgn Cha. Tapi aku rasa....mcm bakal berebut ajer hadiah nie nanti...cz dah nama pun "Barbie" kan.


'Heavenly' words win them over

IT was a tough call for the judges to choose the six winners. With almost all contestants hitting the bull's-eye at the crossword puzzle, the only way to pick the winners was via the tiebreaker, the slogan.

After much deliberation, Fox International marketing director Nini Yusof, her colleague Tengku Shamel Tengku Asri and the New Sunday Times news editor Badrolhisham Bidin picked Nor Ilhamuddin Shaikh Ali from Kuala Lumpur as the first prize winner.

Nor Ilhamuddin won Ice Age 3 merchandise and four tickets to the Sunway Lagoon Theme Park with "Heavenly funny, devilishly cheeky, yet still earthly charming" to describe the character "Buck" in 10 words or less. Cheong Weng Keong of Kuala Lumpur took the second prize. He won Ice Age 3 merchandise and two pairs of GSC Signature (Premier) movie tickets with the slogan "Just Like Tsunami and Earthquake, It's Unpredictable Disaster!"


The judges also picked four other contestants for the exclusive Ice Age 3 merchandise.


Nini, who was surprised at the overwhelming response from the New Sunday Times readers, said the contest was proof that Malaysians were still "crazy" over puzzles and slogan-writing.

"It was once a craze and the hundreds of entry forms received is testimony that slogan-writing is not a dying art.


"It was an enormous task to choose the winners as the majority had written in beautiful slogans. Those who did not make it should not despair as we will continue to work closely with New Sunday Times to produce more exciting contests in the near future," she said.

The contest was held in conjunction with the TV premiere of the animated movie which was shown on Star Movies last month.

It was also a first as it was dubbed in Bahasa Malaysia, Mandarin and Tamil with local celebrities taking over the voices of the characters.


Among them was Sam Bunkface, who played Buck, the brave, adventurous and somewhat insane swashbuckling, one-eyed weasel.

The prizes will be mailed to winners. Congratulations to all.
